Women

In Africa it is often said that if you educate a man you educate a person, but if you educate a woman you educate a nation.

In every society, woman is the foundation: she raises the children and teaches the next generations. This pivotal role in the family and the community at large is one of the reasons why African women need to be supported with initiatives such as micro-credit projects and literacy projects.

In Africa, women often are object of violence and impositions, that "if..." intends to fight. One of these brutalities is the barbaric practice of infibulation, which is incredibly cruel and unjustified and which motivations are cultural and not of religious nature. This practice is drammatically diffused in many ethnic societies.

Another important project concerns the promotion of microcredit, a valid instrument for an economical development and that allows to have use of an exiguous amount of money, that is sufficient to finance small enterprises in agriculture or handicraft. Such enterprises are the ground support of millions of families and its an instrument with proven validity in many countries out of Africa.
