IMPROVEMENT OF THE ACCESS TO DRINKING WATER IN THE DIVISION OF RANGWE, DISTRICT OF HOMA-BAY, KENYA

The Humanitarian Association "if...", who in partnership with the Red Cross of Tanzania, is proposing to reinstate 21 areas of access to water in 21 comunities which are located in the division of Rangwe, district of Homa-bay in Kenya.

The work started in January 2008 by repairing wells that where broken down and by achieving analysis for new water points to dig and to equip with pump systems.
The total population that will benefit of the first interventions are approximately 6.600 persons.

The agreement in partnership with the Red Cross Kenia, guarantees the involvement of the local communities, that will attend the maintenance of the installations, in order to preserve a long-lasting function.
Eng Gorge Oner, under supervision of Eng. Nembrini, has accomplished the survey in the above mentioned areas. He has estimated time and costs for the realization, leaning on his consolidated experiences in the field.
